Cellulite is fats?

Cellulite being a very common term especially among obese people is often considered to be the same as fat. Yes it is a form of fat but is different in texture. We do not find any clear answers as to why it is formed .There are different theories about its formation. Some experts believe it is because of heredity while others believe it is either related to hormonal irregularities or simply excess toxin in the body cause cellulite to form.

What is cellulite then?

Without going deeper into the cause of cellulite we’ll see what exactly it is. Cellulites are thick layers of fat which remain deposited under the skin but are disconnected from the main blood circulation. A simple analogy can be made by this example. Imagine blood flow stopping in any fatty area of your body like buttocks and thighs. As it happens in fatty areas, you do not realize that circulation in that part of your body is not regular. Due to very less or no blood flow in that area cellulite start forming. On the outer side of skin it looks like orange peel therefore it is also known as orange peel effect.

Though obese people are more prone to cellulite, there are people who are otherwise normal but have cellulite on buttock and thighs. Women in general have more cellulite than men. The reason behind this phenomenon is composition and behavior of woman’s fat structure which is somewhat different from men.

Why Cellulite is taken more seriously among women?

As women are more figure conscious than men, it is taken very seriously by them. With cellulite clothes do not fit properly. Wearing bikini is almost out of question for women with cellulite. Though except surgery there is no sure shot method that can help you get rid of cellulite completely, you always have different ways to minimize the effect of cellulite. Taking regular exercise and reducing the intake of fatty foods go a long way in getting rid of cellulite.
